.Media Coordinator position supporting the Korea Battle Simulation Center (KBSC).- Duties could include but are not limited to:- Provide direct support to the Chief, Plans & Training Branch.- Develop, interview, write, shoot, and produce simulated broadcast news style video and/or print products for military training exercises.- Assist in transportation of equipment to training locations in and around the Pacific Command.- Provide simulated media support in the role of reporter to support training objectives.- Attend training and required events to understand and grasp the scenario development throughout exercises.- Play a critical role in shaping and control products; develop and portray simulated media products for review and submission; and assist in facilitating coordination between Public Affairs/training audience to attend mock media engagements and one-on-one interviews.- Security Clearance: Secret- Supervisor: Chief Plans and Training Location: Camp Humphreys, Korea and PACOM area of operation/international- Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:- Applicant must be able to regularly travel unassisted to events in the Pacific Command, (average of one trip monthly for periods of 3-14 days)- Must be self-motivated and able to move, carry, and operate laptop equipment and A/V equipment- Must understand the logic of media's role in military operations- Must be an active listener and a team player- Must be able to lift 50lbs and stand for up to an hourPosition Requirements- Applicant should have excellent social skills and experience working or interacting with mid to high level military and government officials- 5 years of experience in nonlinear editing utilizing Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, After Effects, In Design, etc.)- Takes initiative and is self-motivated to constantly learn and refine expertise in the workflows, the deliverables and the operating environment are a key factor in the success of this client- Possess a TV news background and understands the requirements of a fast paced, deadline driven environment- Possess an associate's degree or higher- The ability to accurately understand military operations at the strategic level and below- Experience with Motion Graphics a plusPreferred Job Requirements- Experience in operating a wide range of video recording equipment, video cameras, and related items such as lighting, live production switchers, sound and editing equipment.- Operates audio-visual equipment to create prerecorded live-to-tape productions ranging from simulated news style broadcasts, public service announcements to training and informational videos.- Oversees script development, shot selection and graphic usage, directs talent, and responsible for overall product arrangement.**EEO is The Law - click here for more information**Equal Opportunity Employer Minorities/Women/Protected Veterans/DisabledValiant Integrated Services is an equal opportunity/affirmative action employer
