**Job Description: Media Planning Analyst**
**Role summary**:
The Media Planning Analyst´s main responsibility will be to promote SPT's linear programming by strategically scheduling on-air promos and secondary elements in the commercial breaks, driving viewers to watch our channels. The Analyst works closely with Traffic, Operations, On Air Creative, Post-Production and Media Planning Manager to build integrated campaigns to support premieres, ongoing programs, and special events.
**Core Responsibilities**:
- The Media Planning Analyst will strategically schedule PROMOS, SHORT FORMATS & SECONDARY ELEMENTS to promote our series and films on SONY, AXN and Sony Movies channel.
- For this role you must familiarize yourself with "GRIPIT" - optimization software - used to plan, update inventory, close logs and ensure that the priorities and GRP goals of each on-air campaign are being achieved.
- Monitor the reach and frequency goals of each campaign - Advance Reach and Frequency Report.
- Verify that all information for the placement of promos is correctly assigned, including but not limited to; start date, end date, length, feeds, promo type, etc.
- Provide reports from different media software's.
- Review the promotional campaigns inventory and On-Air Creative deadlines to ensure they align with the requirements for supporting campaigns and special events.
- Maintain, monitor, and send promo house numbers from Promo Portal to Vision. Ensure that usage dates, changes, deliveries, and applicable feed information is correct.
- Provide input to Media Planning Manager regarding the development of needed promotional elements (i.e., spot lengths, tracks & campaign adjustments).
- Report any differences between planned and aired - Post Run Reconciliation.
- Responsible for setting up the appropriate rules for each promo available in GripIt!
- Update the inventory of promotions and interstitials on a weekly basis.
- Responsible to cover co-worker logs and planning in the event of absences or vacation.
**Preferred Education**:
- BA or BS degree in Communication, Administration, Marketing or related area;
**Knowledge**:
- Languages: Advanced / Fluent in English.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Media Planning, TV Broadcast or Advertising agencies
- Knowledge of GripIt is a plus
