Development and Execution of Medical Affairs activities and scientific projects based on the medical
strategy and Plan of Action, in close collaboration with other global medical team members. Participation
in planning and development of the local Medical Affairs plan in the Therapeutic Area (Neurology and
Rare Diseases).
- Act as the Medical Lead within the cross-functional brand and launch team.
- Development and/or oversight of medical education and communication activities, including digital, faceto
- face, and print conducted by medical manager and MSLs.
- Act as a company representative to groups of experts, medical professional groups, societies, patient
representatives, regulatory groups, representing the company at national and international scientific
meetings.
- Establishment and maintenance of strong working relationships with our key external medical experts
locally and internationally, including academic societies.
- Work collaboratively with Ipsen personnel in the LATAM affiliates, Global Medical Affairs, Clinical
Research, Marketing, Market Access, Sales, Regulatory Affairs, Drug Safety, Public and Government
Affairs.
- Support the generation of scientific data through collaboration with R&D and Clinical Operations, site
support in clinical trials.
- Achieve the communication of medical and educational objectives set for the assigned
products/indications, within the framework of IPSEN's national strategy (Operational Plan).
- Develop, maintain, and support professional relationships with internal and external customers (e.g., Key
Thought Leaders (KTL), Health Care Professionals (HCPs), and Formulary Decision Makers.
- Facilitate informational, educational, and research activities for physicians and ancillary healthcare
professionals regarding IPSEN's current and pipeline therapies.
- Ensure that the scientific and technical needs of Medical Affairs, regulatory affairs and commercial
colleagues are identified and met working closely with other IPSEN personnel.
- Document, accurately and in a timely manner, the activities.
- Comply with all Ipsen SOPs, policies, directive, and relevant national guidelines.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Advanced scientific degree (MD, PharmD)
- A PhD in a health-related discipline will be considered an advantage.
- Extensive experience in a relevant medical/scientific role, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry and
with product launch experience
- Proven experience and successful track record as a Medical Manager at Ipsen and/or in a previous
company, for more than 3 years.
- Language: Expert/fluent communicator in their local language and excellent knowledge of written and
spoken scientific English
- Working knowledge of the relevant Code of Practice
