.The Medical Scientific Liaison (MSL) will be in charge of delivering updated scientific information to a broader group of healthcare professionals.The role of the MSL will be to provide essential information, which in most instances will be medical, but it can also be purely technical linked to other fields such as biology, pharmacoeconomic data, pharmacology, etc., with personal contact, visiting key physicians locally and around the country. The main activities will be in a field work setting.The MSL will have constant cross-functional interaction with different members of the Business Unit. The top priority of an MSL is to provide scientific information to health care providers and obtain insights. MSL will actively engage in activities that support the strategic direction of a product. Therefore, the MSL will be exposed to key decision makers both within the organization and outside the company. As catalysts of collaboration between Pfizer and HCPs, the MSL will be a key player in transmitting updated scientific information, research resources, and business intelligence.Responsibilities include:Providing scientific information to HCPs involved in specific Pfizer drugs to increase knowledge about disease, its diagnosis, and drug efficacy, safety, and correct use.Staying aware of the latest medical/scientific information regarding the therapeutic area under responsibility.Developing and maintaining professional relationships with KOLs and academic centers to ensure access to current medical and scientific information.Developing specialized rising stars and opinion leaders to become KOLs, clinical investigators, and/or speakers.Preparing and developing scientific information and materials to be discussed with HCPs with the support, advice, and approval of the Medical Manager.Coordinating medical events as part of the objectives in the diffusion of scientific information.Participating in medical educational programs and disseminating technical information regarding the product and disease concepts, identifying competitive advantages or potential new uses of the target Pfizer product.Working with the Medical Lead to partner with stakeholders to identify opportunities for the development of treatment algorithms and guidelines.Collaborating with the Medical Lead to facilitate identification and presentation of research opportunities for consideration in support of the product and customers.Assisting in the implementation of local protocol development and administration for proposals to be supported.Providing information to local experts to assist in keeping their presentations current and ensuring they have the necessary medical and scientific information when responding to questions encountered during their presentations.Supporting ongoing training to the field sales force, personnel, and others, providing up-to-date knowledge of the product uses and external data
