The Role : The MSL provides medical expert advice to ensure the proper development of scientific information on the Company's products.
Develops medical product information and stays informed on scientific trends and competition. Maintains relationships with target opinion leaders and trains internal (Salesforce, Market Access and Pricing, Marketing, Pharmacovigilance, Patient Support Programs) and external stakeholders in medical and scientific topics.
Responsible for ensuring the Company's compliance with pharmaceutical regulations and laws, as well as providing expertise on drug safety and medical topics.
Moreover, to generate scientific discussions with the main KOLs based on new evidence.
Lead Medical Affairs activities in assigned territory along defined local Medical Launch / Brand strategies.
Consolidate and communicate trends, market insights, and unmet needs identified in the field.To identify new Site Management Organizations / Principal Investigators and to develop scientific / clinical collaborations (Investigator Sponsor Studies, Company Sponsor Studies, Medical Initiative Projects).
To recognize Rising Stars and strengthen their medical or non-medical skills to improve their role as the Company's speakers, writers, investigators, etc.
Forward any information regarding adverse reactions and / or Quality issues to the area responsible for Patient Safety.Maintains up-to-date GxP knowledge by following internal and external trainings.
Impact external perceptions and knowledge regarding the company and its products through fair and balanced medical communication.
Maintain and demonstrate comprehensive and in-depth scientific TA knowledge when executing assigned tactics.Ensure operational excellence by sharing best practices and communicating insights.
Develop and implement territory medical plans with assigned HCPs.May develop medical material, review marketing material, training plus all other field activities described in the FME JD.
Identify and interact with influential members of the Medical community (HCPs / external experts) and other healthcare stakeholders (managed care organizations, government organizations and patient groups) within the assigned territory and TA, with given frequency and pre-defined metrics, as applicable by local regulations.
Represent the company at Medical Education events, programs and meetings.Partner with external stakeholders to develop innovative solutions.
Engage with internal colleagues (MSL colleagues, Medical Affairs department, Clinical Operations and Commercial colleagues as appropriate, Regulatory Affairs, Market Access and Pricing, Legal, Compliance, etc.
in developing, delivering and participating in Medical or cross-functional initiatives.Act as a resource, liaison and facilitator for ISS and investigators.
Coordinate with ClinDev and ClinOps in providing field support for research studies and assist in selecting clinical study sites.
Provide training to HCPs (i.e. contracted speakers).Delivers accurate and timely scientific information to assigned HCPs within the territory to ensure the safe and appropriate use of Company assets by patients.
Who you are : University degree (Bachelor's) required, preferably in the scientific field relevant to the position.A secondary or advanced scientific degree (e.
g., MSc, PharmD, PhD, DO, MD) is required.Scientific and / or clinical training in an area of relevance to the position is strongly preferred.
Professional,
clinical or research experience in a scientific or related field (Neurology, Immunology or Pharmacology) required (minimum of 2 years).
Previous MSL or related pharmaceutical experience is preferred.Knowledge and experience of the methodology of clinical research and Good Clinical Practice preferred.
