**Job Description: Senior Specialist, Melodrama - LightDrama****Role summary**:Sony Pictures Television is currently seeking a talented employee within Production for performing the role of Senior Specialist, Melodrama - LightDrama for Latin America and USH markets, the position will be based in México/Colombia or Argentina. Reporting to the VP Original Content LATAM & USH, the position's primary responsibilities are to oversee the Content team, to work hand in hand with the Content team to create and/or supervise the development of audiovisual projects, from their inception, writing, production, and sale, until the process of the final delivery to the client.The position must have ample experience in the creation, production and/or direction of TV series and/or feature films of this genre.**Core Responsibilities**:- Identify the characteristics and key elements of the genre that are currently dominating the market.- Understand audience's consumer behaviors and needs in regard to the genre, in order to evaluate and determine possible future developments.- Continuous search of new projects and ideas that match the requirements of the genre.- Work hand in hand with the Content team to create and/or supervise the development of projects, from their inception, writing, production, and sale, until the process of the final delivery to the client.- Work hand in hand with writers to develop scripts that match the characteristics of the genre and client needs.- Advising writers and directors about the most effective way to develop materials to achieve the genre's purposes.- Have knowledge of the commercialization and promotion of melodramatic content, in different regions of Latin America.- Be part of the working teams that analyze new projects that belong to the genre.- On-going search of new talent, both for directing and writing that effectively covers the needs of the genre.- Work hand in hand with the Production team so that materials in the final delivery adhere to quality standards set by both the production company and the client.- Take responsibility and creative input during the development of material for the projects that so require it.**Preferred Education**:- BA or BS degree in Dramatic Arts or Communications**Knowledge**:- Languages: Advanced / Fluent in Spanish and English; - Proficiency in Dramatic Structure and Scriptwriting**Requirements**:+ years of experience before in movies and/or TV**Skills**:- Problem Solving Skills- Critical thinking- Flexibility- Communication Skills- Teamwork- CreativityLI-NT1undefined
