Challenges include meeting expectations in delivering results, learning to consider alternative courses of action, making timely decisions and improving communication skills.This position will report to the Advanced Materials Technology México team, and will be part of the Materials Technology organization as part of Caterpillar's US-based AMT division. Worldwide, the Advanced Materials Technology group has more than 400 employees in the US, UK, China, and India and is responsible for heat treatment of more than +100,000 tons of steel per year.The engineer will work daily within the workgroup, with the Monterrey team and US-based personnel and with other groups such as operations, maintenance, and quality to solve problems and improve processes. Willingness and ability to work across job roles, prioritize work, and execute tasks in timely manner without oversight is required. The position will require hands-on operation and troubleshooting of equipment.Activities will include the development of new products and processes and improvement of existing products. This will include technical guidance on efficient operation, scheduling, and maintenance intervals of key equipment to minimize downtime. This individual will also lead projects to rebuild or redesign equipment and will work with maintenance to improve equipment and increase uptime
