Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a Metallurgist Analyst.
**What you'll do**:
**PRIMARY FUNCTION**:
A. The primary function of this position is to assure a high level of metallurgical and quality through the Heat Treating process. The incumbent will also play a vital role in design, implementation, and training of new processes and future updates. All metallurgical evaluations and conclusions are to be made by this incumbent also.
**ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS**:
A. Case Depth Control.
B. Surface Hardness Control
C. Microstructure Evaluation
D. Maintain and calculate metrics (PPMs, Scrap, Material on Hold)
E. Hardness Tester Verification
F. Participate and lead problem solving through 8D methodology
G. Calculate and maintain Cpks for HT process
H. Control audits process and production processes.
J. Promotes the company's mission and vision by actively supporting Eaton's ethics and values as well as quality policies.
K. Motivate and coach employees to maintain high levels of satisfaction, productivity, and quality through effectively utilizing available rewards and recognition channels to encourage and promote desired behaviors and results.

**Qualifications**:
**SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE**
A. 2 years experience in Heat Treatment or Metallurgical career.
B. SPC/Infinity QS
C. Knowledge of IATF 16949/ISO 9001 and EQMS
D. Welding characteristics, defects and measurement techniques.
E. Metallurgical characteristics of heat treatment and measurement techniques.
F. Knowledge of ASTM E18, ASTM 140, ASTM E112, ASTM 384, SAE J417, SAE 423, SAE J864 standards, as a plus.
G. Knowledge of the ISO 6336-5 standard
H. CQI-9 / CQI-15
I. Machining or metallurgical processes can be a plus
