Objective:
As a Methods Coordinator, you will be instrumental in optimizing our manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement across our operations.
You will play a crucial role in enhancing our production methods and capabilities.
You will work closely with our Technical Director, giving them the scoop on how things are running and making sure we're always at our best.
Your insights and leadership will help us keep pushing forward and delivering top-notch products to our customers around the world.
Main Responsibilities:
Leading a crew of 3 Engineers and 3 Methods Agents.
- Develop and implement efficient methods and procedures for manufacturing operations.
- Analyze existing processes to identify opportunity areas for improvement and cost reduction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflow and enhance productivity.
- Conduct time and motion studies to optimize labor utilization and production efficiency.
- Design and implement Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and improve throughput.
- Lead projects focused on process improvement, automation, and technology integration.
- Train and mentor production teams on new methods and best practices.
- Monitor production metrics and KPIs to track performance and identify opportunities for enhancement.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards in all methods and procedures.
- Provide regular updates and reports to the Technical Director on project status, challenges, and successes.
- Develop and manage methods department budget, including forecasting expenses and tracking expenditures.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising on product standards.
- Evaluate vendor contracts and negotiate favorable terms for services and supplies.
- Evaluate and recommend CAPEX for investments in new technologies and equipment upgrades to enhance productivity and support Industry 4.0 initiatives.
**Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering: Industrial Engineering, Mechanics or related field.
- Master's degree (desirable but not essential).
- Proven experience leading and managing working teams.
- 5 to 7 years of proven experience in methods engineering, process improvement, or related roles within a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency in French (Desirable but not essential) and English (Advanced);
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, 5S, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and manufacturing ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to develop and manage budgets effectively.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks software.
- Effective leadership and project management abilities.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid Passport.
- Valid USA and Canadian VISAS (desirable)
