The Execution Intermediate Analyst is an intermediate position responsible for performing risk and compliance reviews in coordination with the broader Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team.
The overall objective is to utilize in-depth AML knowledge to review, analyze and conduct effective due diligence and investigations on higher risk cases that may be a potential risk to Citi.
**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct investigations and research on potentially suspicious clients using various internal and external systems and databases
- Conduct Cross Sector reviews among multiple Citi business lines.
- Document and report the review/investigation findings and prepare case files with the required supporting documentation
- Summarize, in writing, clear and concise findings of the investigation
- Advise senior management on next steps and provide recommendations on the next course of action (relationship retention, termination, Suspicious Activity Report (SAR))
- Manage risk by analyzing the root cause of issues and impact to business
- Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision.
- Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
- Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
**Qualifications**:

- 2-5 years' relevant experience
- Knowledge of AML regulations preferred
- Proficient in MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated analytical skills
**Education**:

- Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience

**Mexico AML FIU G&O Intermediate Analyst**

**Rationale**

The position is required to support the FIU Governance and Oversight (G&O) functions in order to elaborate the reports and decks to escalate the significant events, matters and improvements of FIU Mexico to global; supervision support and follow up to the Mexico FIU and FIU designees regarding observations and issues identified through MCA, external and internal audits and reviews in order to facilitate and ensure the appropriate implementation of improvements and corrections; as well as to support to the organization, review and analysis of the Mexico FIU G&O Committee matters.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Impact analysis of the initiatives of implementation, remediation, controls and action plans resulted from projects and observations issued by MCA and internal and external reviews, ensuring that all stakeholders from FIU and AML are involved, as appropriate, with the objective of having a complete overview of the processes and functions impacted.
- Organization, gathering and analysis of the information of the events, issues and improvements of FIU Mexico that should be reported in bi-weekly, monthly and quarterly basis to the GFIU G&O teams.
- Analysis and review of global and local reports and decks, which contain Mexico FIU information that are reported to global and local governance forums to ensure this information is properly presented and communicated to Mexico FIU stakeholders.
- Support to the supervision, orientation and fulfillment of the activities of the FIU, facilitation of the exchange of good practices between the regions and attention to global requirements regarding PLD / FT.
- Support to the supervision and evaluation of the implementation of the Operational Program and Procedures for the FIU Mexico.
**Education**
- Bachelor´s Degree in Business, Law, Economics and others related to the social field, required.
- Master´s Degree or Specialization in Business Administration, Finance, Risk Management and Anti-Money Laundering as a plus.
**Experience**
- 2+ years of experience in areas such as FIU (Financial Intelligence Unit), AML, Fraud, Risk Management, Internal Audit or Internal Control.
- Desired knowledge in AML Program, AML Regulation and/or FIU investigations.
- Advise and contribute to the FIU strategy for productivity, resource management and control.
- Oversight and coordination of facilities enhancements, technological initiatives and liaison between FIU and CRS, CTI, General Services.

- Fluent communication in English - Intermediate level required.
