We're building something better together — and people like you are at the heart of it all.**What you will be doing**:**The Mexico Group Controller is primarily responsible for leading our Mexico accounting function, including oversight of the books, records, and internal control for five legal entities. This position indirectly supervises the month-end close process as well as financial compliance and governance activities at each entity.The Mexico Group Controller will partner with the local accounting supervisors to ensure proper accounting and fiscal recognition of all transactions, a timely close for both US. GAAP and Mexican reporting, proper governance over financial compliance rituals, on-going enhancement to the internal control structure, and leading projects that deliver value through efficiency and automation.**Primary Responsibilities**:- Provides oversight of external compliance obligations related to financial reporting and taxation in Mexico Point of contact for local business partners and the finance organization- Provides leadership, guidance, and support to staff members- Leads strategic projects with business partners aimed at delivering the maximum strategic value and continuous improvement, which includes automation and digitization projects- Drives research on accounting, tax law, and industry topics as needed- Oversees the month-end financial close and governance activities- Monitors the planning and direction of teams' activities and projects- Provides insight and guidance for complex areas requiring accounting judgement- Oversees reconciliation process of all material balance sheet accounts- Supervises completion of monthly and annual compliance obligations**Qualifications**:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Master´s degree preferred.- Demonstrates high proficiency and solid understanding of GAAP, financial statements, and Mexican federal income tax and VAT law.- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role- Corporate finance or public accounting experience required- Minimum of one year of management or leadership experience- Experience working with Mexican companies or entities- Advanced English is a must- Knowledge of SAP or similar ERP-system- We are proud to have a diverse and inclusive workforce, and we're always looking to get better
