Gualapack, a leading Flexible Packaging Company with a strong focus on sustainability, innovation, and social responsibility, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Product Engineer to join our team.In our plant in Mexico, we are growing and looking for talented and engaged people.Mexico - Product Engineer (Mexico):Job purpose: point of reference and owner for all technical information, technical activities, and project management related to the product of Gualapack Mexico (multilayer films and spouted pouches and caps).What you get to do:Collect, organize, and manage the technical specifications of existing products.Define, with the support of corporate R&D, specifications of new products according to internal standards or customer requirements.Responsible for the bill of materials.Organize and manage, with the support of corporate R&D and local Quality Assurance, the regulatory specifications of the products, covering regulation compliance checks, testing with external labs, and answering customer requirements.Responsible for the change management of raw materials or specifications, supported by corporate R&D and the management team.Conduct testing of developmental samples or materials, following defined test protocols. Record test results appropriately and prepare reports for interpretation.Support the engineers by assisting with trials on manufacturing equipment to test new raw material formulations and completing laboratory physical testing of these test products for validation.Coordinate technical projects, both internal and customers', with the support of corporate and local organization.Support customers in testing and trials at their premises for new products or quality issues.First point of contact for the customer for all related technical activities and project management.What we value:Accurate, thorough, and on-time documentation of trial work and testing results.Customer-focus: works with internal customers to get necessary information and complete requests in a timely manner, communicates openly.Structured project managing approach.What we are looking for:Degree strongly preferred with emphasis on Chemistry, Materials, or Engineering.3 – 5 years of industry-related experience (i.E. films, coatings, adhesives, etc., fast-moving consumer goods).Basic mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting skills, and understanding of mechanical equipment.Good level of English language.#J-18808-Ljbffr
