The leader's mandate is to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations and prepare group reporting for consolidation purposes.YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIESEnsure the timely recovery of VAT favorable balances.Review and approve monthly federal and state tax calculations and payments.Review and approve annual tax return.Review transfer pricing studies performed by external advisors.Coordinate Mexico compliance requirements (VAT / IEPS certification, REPSE, complementos de pago, carta porte, etc.).Coordination of audits and tax projects.Ensuring key controls and risk management processes are detailed and implemented, minimizing risk and exposure to penalties.Identifying and tracking new legislation, planning, and policy trends.Review tax journal entries for monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close process as well as correlating tax account reconciliations.Lead process improvement initiatives in coordination with the finance manager and other areas.Education:Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance-related areas (master's degree is a plus).Experience:Min. 4 years of experience in a public accounting firm, preferably in the tax field; 5 years of experience in a Maquiladora company in a supervising position.Language:Fluent in Spanish written and verbal.English written and verbal (Min: 80%).Knowledge of French or German is an advantage.#J-18808-Ljbffr
