Mexico Tax Analyst Audits and Compliance
This role has been designated as 'Office', which means you will primarily work from an HPE office.

In the Finance division, our reporting and controlling teams are working on tasks like asset management, financial integration of mergers and acquisitions, as well as USGAAP-reporting.

Organizes and directs the tax research and tax compliance activities focused on tax audit activity in country.
Manages audits of tax returns by tax authorities on Federal Level for Income Tax, Transaction Tax and Transfer Pricing.
Prepares and reviews tax returns and related reports to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax statues and regulations by properly interpreting tax laws and regulations.
Minimizes tax liability to the company.
Determines financial accounting treatment for income taxes.
As Tax Analyst the main responsibility will be to obtain, analyze and prepare information for federal tax audits (VAT, IT, TP).
This include coordination with internal contacts as well with our advisors.
This role also consider execute a proactive work for future tax audits.
This include current tax compliance and business case analysis in order to avoid future audit risk.
Finally budget and financial administrative task are part of the role
**_ How you´ll make your mark:_**
- Manages audits of tax returns by tax authorities.
- Leads research and documents company-wide tax systems.
- Responds to notices from various tax authorities and interacts directly with tax authorities on a regular basis.
- Interacts and deals directly with external tax advisors to the company.
- Prepares and files highly complex tax returns for the organization.
- Acts as advisor to the company's global functions on tax matters.
- Advises businesses on how to reduce tax liabilities, sets up compliance procedures, and communicates frequently with senior business leaders.
- Leads various tax planning activities and research including estimated tax forecasts and other projects that involve a high degree of complexity.
- Leads lower level personnel on priority projects in both the tax compliance and accounting areas.
**_ About you:_**
- First-level university degree or equivalent experience; advanced university degree preferred.
- Typically 5+ years of related experience in accounting or tax.
- The experience on audits is required, working directly with tax authorities in processes like full year audits, attend invitation letters, refund processes, etc.
- This position does not handle payroll tax audits (IMSS).
- Specific experience in tax audits is required, on audit reports (Dictamen, DISIF) is also required.
- Complete systematic understanding and thorough knowledge of professional accounting and financial reporting systems.
- Advanced knowledge of income tax laws they relate to corporations.
- Superior communication, leadership, consulting, influence, and negotiation skills.
- Exceptional financial and business acumen.
- Excellent project management, problem solving, and analytical skills, and the ability to execute a project within the scope of overall strategies.
- Demonstrated ability in managing multiple projects and engagement teams.
