Are you ready to start your exciting career in Travel Management? No previous industry experience required!
If you have experience in call centers, contact centers, customer service, sales or hospitality, and have always wanted to work in travel, you may be perfect for our program.
Our Travel Academy is an 8-week-long paid training program. We'll give you a comprehensive course in all things travel and prepare you with everything you need to be successful as a full-time Travel Counselor assisting our client through phone.
Travel Counselors are the heart of our organization at Amex GBT, providing world class service to our corporate travel clients. You'll learn how to use industry standard booking systems (Global Distribution Systems / GDS), resolve customer inquiries for all types of travel via phone, and much more.
This position is virtual - Training will be Monday thru Friday 9:00am-5:30pm CST. Our Traveler Care unit is a 24/7 operation, so we're looking for people who are excited about working some non-traditional hours, for this position we are looking for a variety of shifts Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am-8pm EST

What You'll Do
- Participate in our travel school's newly designed travel curriculum, where you'll learn everything you need to know about corporate travel and our industry
- Learn about our products and services GBT provides, including our end-to-end booking process
- Experience our hands-on practice environment
- At the end of the paid training program, we'll help you transition to your full-time role as a Travel Counselor.
What We're Looking For
- Highly proficient in computer skills including basic trouble shooting and confident in navigating new software platforms.
- Experience in customer service, sales, call centers, or hospitality (3+ years) with extensive customer interaction.
- Strong interpersonal communication, full proficiency in English language with exceptional listening, speaking, and problem-solving skills.
- Passionate about world-class customer service (empathetic, calm, and courteous)
- Must have a quiet, secure home office space, free from noise and interruption. Must have reliable high speed internet service at your address.
