They act as the binding element between product development and manufacturing engineering, ensuring the effectiveness and efficiency of this critical interface. They support Product Development in the optimization of designs and piece parts for manufacturability by realizing sample tooling/products/prototypes. They also design, develop, and qualify tooling and processes to meet TE quality and production standards, document all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems, support supply chain to verify supplier compliance and capability, initiate and implement programs to continuously improve quality, cost and cycle time and adhere to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements and customer requirements.What your background should look like:Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in chemical, Materials or Metallurgical Engineering or Technology field and/or 2 years experience in Surface Finishing processes.Be familiar with Ni, PdNi, Au, Ag, Cd, ZnNi plating processes.3D CAD – Creo and/or Solidworks skills.Proven and effective problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Understand test standards for plating layer, such as salt spray test, nitric acid test, etc.Fluent in using of basic process development related tools like DFM, PFMEA, DOE.Self-directed and highly motivated.Spanish and English written and verbal communication skills.Must be willing to travel as required (15% max) to support NPI launch timelines as well as accommodate other time zones for global collaboration.Responsibilities:Develops individual projects or specific elements of medium size projects.Manages technical elements while maintaining performance and schedule.Review drawings, compare internal and external specifications against manufacturing processes, identifies gaps, and provides timely information to address discrepancies.Provide technical support to the manufacturing floor, including visual aids, instructions, inspection forms, etc., to support Production and Quality objectives.Provide technical assistance to ensure quality of production, product engineering and materials to resolve operational issues and launch of new or modified products.Provide strategies for WoM projects.Core team member on projects.Competency in using technical tools, such as Minitab, TrueChem and Excel.Basic knowledge of general engineering tools (LEAN or 6-sigma), such as DoE, FMEA, QFD, etc.Influence in the present role at the individual project team level
