**Function Description**
Responsible to manage the Record to Report (RTR) activities focused on quality and timely core accounting activities. Deliver key Controllership objectives while supporting the Mission & Vision of Carrier Corporation Finance. Reports to the Asst Controller, Center of Excellence-Record to Report.
**Discipline Description**
Performs accounting activities to ensure they are in alignment with US GAAP and Corporate policies with a clear focus on financial reporting and internal control activities. In addition, this role will engage with internal and external Business Partners, Segment Controllership team members and others on critical projects and processes to streamline and support RTR activities. Performs specific RTR activities and processes ensuring quality results and reporting. As a key business partner, this role will support accounting and SOX activities across the COE RTR team.
- Performs and report on specific RTR activities on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Performs and report on specific controls activities including support of internal and external audit activities.
- Analyses RTR projects over processes to streamline activity and deliver best practices for RTR COE
- Follows accounting policies and procedures and control processes to ensure work is per standard defined.
- Ability to communicate effectively with COE RTR team.
- Experience working with Ariba and S/4 HANA
**Purpose**
Support specific RTR COE functions and streamline processes while ensuring strong and uniform controls. This role engages on specific activities, partners with Carrier COE RTR team members to ensure delivery of quality and timely financial reporting with a strong focus on internal control environment. The COE structure and model is a critical part of Carrier transformation with a clear focus on analysis and decisioning the overall taxonomy for the RTR function and ownership between Carrier and a BPO structure. This role is a critical support for the RTR COE.
**Responsibility Statements**
- Performs accounting and controls for specific Carrier RTR COE activities.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial results, monthly closing and compliance activities.
- Confirms procedures and controls are in alignment with US GAAP reporting requirements and corporate policies.
- Performs and reports on activities to include critical RTR activities around balance sheet and reconciliations.
**Qualifications**:
Good communication skills both written and verbal.
Requires a bachelor's degree in accounting with a minimum of 5+ years prior relevant experience.
Detailed oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities and meet corporate deadlines.
