.We are building a world class Global Trade Services (GTS) organization, including Operational Service Centers focused on critical trade services. This role leads the IMMEX Compliance activities, which is responsible for leading trade compliance in all of TE Connectivity's legal entities in Mexico operating under the requirements of an IMMEX (Maquiladora) program and other related foreign trade laws and regulations.The role reports to the Director of IMMEX Service Center, joining a team of global trade professionals who are passionate about ensuring the future growth of the business by providing business solutions for compliance with global trade laws and regulations.**What your background should look like**:**Responsibilities**:- Free trade agreement management and certifications, and country of origin certifications.- Assist with responding to government inquiries and supporting any internal or external investigations or audits.- Work with GTS Governance teams to conduct trade compliance audits, self-assessments and oversee corrective actions plans.- Partner with GTS Governance teams to monitor trade compliance regulatory and legislative changes, asses the potential impact and determine necessary actions and communications to the appropriate stakeholders.- Partner with GTS Governance to administer effective trade compliance training as required throughout Mexico and organization.- Oversee and manage US and Mexican dual-use and military export control requirements in connection with manufacturing of US export-controlled goods in Mexico for distribution outside of Mexico.- Maintain TE operations and compliance activities in accordance with applicable customs and import laws and regulations, TE policies, procedures, and controls, in collaboration with GTS Governance Team, and other OSC service areas.- Design and leverage trade data analytics to identify compliance risks, cost-savings opportunities, and other metrics of value and effectiveness.**What your background should look like**:Success in the role requires strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills, strategic analysis, risk management and planning capabilities involving complex situations, highly developed oral and written communication skills, and the ability to coordinate interdisciplinary teams (internal and external) to drive issues and projects to conclusion.- Bachelor's degree required (international trade, supply chain, law, or related field preferred)- 8+ years of experience in international trade, focusing primarily on management of IMMEX programs and Mexican trade laws- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in functional leadership or senior management.- Broad functional knowledge of IMMEX programs, VAT Certification, PROSEC, Rule 8, maquiladoras, customs, free trade agreements, and other topics related to foreign trade in and out of Mexico.- Demonstrated ability to design, deploy, and administer effective trade compliance policies and processes
