.TE Connectivity's Engineering Managers provide leadership for cross functional engineering teams.
They work with senior management to define technical road maps aligned with market directions and communicate across other Business Units to share applicable technology.

They identify relevant technology trends and opportunities, develop relationships and partnerships with key customers, industry leaders and core suppliers, define and manage IP strategy, assess talent and implement development plans to assure succession planning and organization capability.
**What your background should look like**:Tasks, responsibilities and authority:Coordinate all projects that are required such as lay-out changes, high and low voltage electrical installations, pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical installations (internal or subcontracted).Coordinate all support work required by the different departmentsProvide technical support/advice to all value chains.Establish / give Maintenance work procedures to define the specific activities of the personnel in charge.Prioritize the allocation of Department resources to provide the necessary support 24hrs / WeekendsEstablish the measurables and evaluations for the personnel in charge (monthly, semi-annual, annual)Verify compliance with assigned activities (calendars, proposals, hourly / hourly boards)Develop/Implementation of saving projects to minimize expenses (Spare parts, Consumables, Energy)Identify and request training courses for the personnel in charge (DNC, External, internal)Develop and update maintenance procedures based on the ISO standardParticipate in the preparation and development of company plans (EHS safety, savings, load increase)Support the quality of production processes (Improvements, poka-yokes, Set-ups, Tooling)Provide support in engineering activities for the incorporation or modification of processesPromote compliance with significant environmental objectives in their work areas to their work teamResponsible for informing his work team of the environmental policy and environmental objectivesResponsibility for minimizing the specific environmental aspects and impacts of their work areaAuthority and responsibility to stop a process in which there is a possibility of harming the environment or/and is outside of legal environmental compliance.Supervise the consumption in your department and review its downward trend.Authority to:- Approve monitoring, measurement, analysis and evaluation methods as appropriate to ensure valid results.- Shutdown of machinery or equipment if there is a safety risk for personnel- Purchase of spare parts locally or with the OEM according to specificationsProfessional experience5 years in the Industrial maintenance areaManagement of work teams and management of technical personnel
