**Position Overview**
The Microsoft Systems Engineer is a technical-focused position responsible for the administration, design, deployment, security, and enhancements of the Microsoft ecosystem.
This position will provide support and guidance on both Active Directory and Azure AD, Office 365 suite, Defender for Endpoint and Cloud, Sentinel, Endpoint Manager, Intune, Exchange, Single Sign On, Identity Protection, 365 Security, Data Loss Prevention, and virtualization technology.
The Microsoft Systems Engineer will also be responsible for developing and maintaining system/services integration with Microsoft Azure.
This position will maintain, manage, and monitor server and network infrastructure health and performance as well as network backup, productivity tools and vulnerability management.
The position's responsibilities require independent analyses, excellent communication, and problem-solving skills.
Work is performed with little supervision and requires initiative and judgment.
**Responsibilities**:
- Administer and manage Outset Medical Microsoft ecosystem
- Provide Tier I-II support for all Windows servers and network, as well as an escalation point of contact
- Manage and maintain both On Prem and Azure AD group policies
- Provision and deprovision of Microsoft licenses
- Provision and manage Windows servers in both DEV, UAT and PROD environments (Patching, Backup/Recovery and Incident response contribution/analysis etc.)
- Manage and maintain Dell PowerEdge Server, storage, and network devices
- Evaluate and monitor system performance to identify and resolve impending performance issues
- Architect and project manage new infrastructure projects, changes, and upgrades
- Identify, repair, and recover from hardware/software/system failures
- Manage both VMware hypervisor and Microsoft Azure virtualization
- Security architect for on-prem and cloud infrastructure, including network firewall appliances
- Coordinate and communicate with leadership on proposed or implemented resolutions and changes
- Collaborate with the Sr. Network and System Administrator
**Required Qualifications**
- Team player with can-do attitude, be good mentor for the Helpdesk team
- Able to multitask and prioritize competing projects/priorities
- Minimum 5 years Systems/Infrastructure, or related engineering experience
**Desired Qualifications**
- Microsoft Certified or other equivalent Microsoft certification is a plus - MS-100, MS-101, MS-500, AZ-101, AZ-104, AZ-500
- VCP certification is a plus
- Experience with the scripting language, PowerShell, or Python
- Familiar with Windows and Linux Operating System
- Experience with cloud services such as AWS, Azure, GCP
- Understanding of TCP network and related protocols.

- Hand-on experience managing Microsoft Azure, Office365, SAML, SCIM and API
- Familiarity with CA, Logic Monitor, Atlassian Tools (Jira, Confluence), Tenable, Crowdstrike, Fresh Service, Veeam Backup, Juniper, MIST and Palo Alto Network firewalls
- Experience implementing Security Best Practices
- B.S.
in Computer Science or related technical Certification are preferred
