We are currently seeking a Middleware (Web/App Servers) SME Lead to join our team in Mexico, México (MX-MEX), Mexico (MX).
**Job Description - MW (Web/App Servers) SME Onsite Lead**
**Short Role Description**:The Middleware Lead Engineer will be responsible for ensuring seamless integration and communication between different software systems, specializes in the development, deployment, and management of middleware technologies.
**Day to Day job Duties: (what this person will do on a daily/weekly basis)**
- Setting up and configuring middleware technologies like WebSphere, Apache Tomcat, WebLogic, Java Web Server, JBoss, IIS MQ Series, RabbitMQ.
- Monitoring middleware environments to detect and resolve performance or functionality issues.
- Regularly updating middleware systems to fix bugs, close security vulnerabilities, and improve functionality
**Basic Qualifications: (what are the skills required to this job with minimum years of experience on each)**
- 6 years overall IT experience with at least 3 years' experience in leading Middleware Support team for a large data center.
- Complete installation /migration/ up-gradation of Websphere, JBOSS and jdk on AIX/Linux/Solaris
- Experience in installation of Websphere/Weblogic/JBoss in high availability environment
- Writing scripts for clearing logs, monitoring server performance, Restarting JVMs, supporting distributed date changes etc.
- Experience in a Linux / UNIX / Windows distributed enterprise environment is required
- Experience managing upgrading and patching other middleware deployments is required
- Awareness about different flavors of cloud, Middleware performance management, automation of different middleware activities, scripting & Dev-ops concepts.
- Mentoring and training capabilities to junior level staff
- Experience in supporting external customer facing websites
- Experience with tools like Remedy, ServiceNow, JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint, and understanding of ITIL concepts and Agile methodology
- Monitoring middleware environments to detect and resolve performance or functionality issues.
- Excellent communication skills, inter-personal skills including strong facilitation and coordination skills
- High level of initiative and ownership mentality Strong experience in Linux/Unix
Travel: No travel. Preferred location is East coast or Midwest
Degree: Bachelor's in computer science or related field
**Nice to Have; (But not a must)**
- Experience in some of these technologies preferred: App Dynamics, Active Directory, load balancer, Internet Web Caching, Web Analytics, Source control
- Experience with batch scheduling
- Experience with automation tools
