Responsibilities

1. Primary responsibilities include performing technical system studies, developing, and preparing distribution line designs, planning design construction sequences and developing new work through existing relationships. Responsibilities will include the following at a minimum:
2. Perform system expansion and improvement projects, system protection and coordination, reactive compensation, voltage analyses, distributed generation and renewable interconnections, power quality studies and system contingency scenarios.
3. Accurately develop and maintain complex computer models of the electric delivery system that are used to simulate the operation of the electric delivery system.
4. Perform power flow studies using CYME or equivalent software including creating and maintaining underlying databases.
5. Work independently and train and coach newer less experienced engineers.

Requirements

1.
At least 5 years of experience performing engineering related duties.
2. Professional Engineering cedula (mandatory).
3. Knowledge of engineering standards including NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE and ANSI or CFE Standards, preferred.
4. Distribution MV and LV planning work experience.
5. Experience with distribution make ready design for 3rd party attachments is a plus.
6. Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English language.
