CommScope is looking to add a Staff Engineer Maintenance to join our Manufacturing Operations Team in Cd. Juarez, Chihuahua.
How You'll Help Us Connect the World. Focus on technical part of maintaining and improving molding machinery and others equipment of the area. This involves applying engineering principals to enhance equipment performance troubleshoot for complex issues and implement improvements.
Roles:
Equipment analysis of performance side to identify areas for improvement. Provide technical support for complex equipment malfunctions and issues, applying engineering expertise to diagnose and resolve problems. Desing and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance schedules and procedures to ensure optimal equipment performance and longevity. Design and oversee the installation of upgrades and modifications to enhance equipment performance and efficiency. Design and manage the implementation of upgrades to improve equipment performance and efficiency. Enhance molding processes and workflows to boost production efficiency and minimize downtime. Investigate recurring equipment failures to identify issues and implement solutions to prevent them. Work closely with maintenance teams, production, process, and other departments to ensure smooth integration of engineering solution. Design and implement safety improvements to reduce the risk of accidents and ensure a safe working environment. Develop and deliver training programs for maintenance staff on new equipment, technologies, and best practices. Monitoring, analyze and prepare information about equipment performance data to identify areas for improvement. Manage, execution and documentation of engineering projects related to equipment installation, upgrades, or modifications, including scope, timelines, and budgets. Required Qualifications for Consideration: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronic, Mechatronic engineering, or a related field is often preferred. Technical Skills Molding Processes: Understanding of injection molding, and extrusion or similar processes. Automation Technologies: Familiarity with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and robotics. Maintenance Management: Knowledge of predictive and preventive maintenance strategies. Soft Skills Problem-Solving: Ability to fix and resolve mechanical and automation issues. Communication: Effective communication with team members and stakeholders. Project Management: Skills to manage maintenance projects and improvements efficiently. Experience Hands-On Experience: Practical experience in maintenance roles, in a similar position, minimum 5 years. Stay updated on the latest technologies and methodologies in maintenance related to presses small to high tonnage, automation equipment, and the least technologies on the industry.
