**Job Summary**
The Mortgage Clerk supports various operational tasks within the mortgage process, ensuring the accurate and efficient handling of documentation, data entry, and compliance with established standards.
This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively with team members.
The Mortgage Clerk contributes to maintaining a high level of accuracy, data integrity, and customer satisfaction across multiple phases of the mortgage lifecycle.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Review and verify third-party and borrower documents to ensure they are complete and accurate.
- Analyze and categorize data according to product and company guidelines.
- Maintain confidentiality and data integrity.
- Identify potential problems or discrepancies in the documentation or data and escalate them for resolution.
- Assist in the resolution of documentation or processing issues by working collaboratively.
- Issue documentation in accordance with company policies and compliance guidelines to regulatory, internal, and third parties.
- Ensure that all documentation required for loan approval is received.
- Set up loan files within the Loan Origination System (LOS).
- Other functions as required by the company.
**Requeriments**
- B2 English level or equivalent.
- Prior experience in administrative functions, documentation handling, or related areas.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or similar, preferred.
- Organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated to maintaining high standards of data integrity and confidentiality.
- Capable of working with interdisciplinary teams, prioritizing tasks, and being self-directed.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive working relationships.
- Ethically oriented, empathetic, organized, and dedicated to continuous improvement.
