**About the Role**:
We are seeking a skilled Buyer to work at a customer manufacturing location in Chihuahua. The Buyer will be responsible for sourcing spot buy purchases and replenishing inventory items in a production supply crib located on the site of the customer.
**Supervisory Relationships**:
This position reports to the Site Manager. This position does not have any supervisory responsibility.
**What You'll do**:
- Coordinate customer needs
- Identify and select vendor to procure requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality and delivery date and place orders
- Manage inventory
- Identify cost savings initiatives
- Resolve purchasing problems with vendors
**What You'll Bring**
- Qualified Industrial or Mechanical Engineer, Business Administration, Accounting or Logistics degree.
- 5 years or more experience as MRO as well as purchasing practices and procedures
- Sourcing experience
- Advanced MS Office computer skills
- Knowledge of materials, products, and the commodity market for the site
- Skill in preparing and analyzing complex technical specifications and bids
- Excellent customer service skills
- Organization and strong attention to detail
- Ability to be flexible
- Proactive, team player
- Responsibility and accountability
**Role & Responsibilities**:
- Ensure proper control and data entry for purchase orders and Vendors' invoicing
- To keep expenses under budget for the assigned site.
- Achievement and focus on KPI's assigned by management
- To keep proper management of "THIS ONE" System Mgmt.
- Implementation of actions plans, in order to reduce inventory levels
- Ensure committed cost savings with our customer
- Avoid business interruption to customer's processes
- Make sure that customer's invoices we receive, are matched with requirement
- To keep inventory control, and make sure that inventory is accurate physically and system
- Ensure appropriate logistics control for Shipping and Receiving of products
- Comply with rules and procedures assigned in your workplace
- And any others assigned by management.
**Working Conditions**:
This position will work in a Storeroom environment. The Storeroom / Warehouse may be in a confined space and near high voltage equipment and hazardous material. The employment duties may be at heights above 25 feet.
