Scheduling
- Specify, supervise and secure production dates with respect to economical handling of all available resources
- Monitor production schedule and make changes as necessary
- Define optimum costing lot size for each product based on historical data
- Interdepartmental Communication
- Inform Sales and Customer Service of finish dates and metallic product costs
- Inform the Lab and Quality Assurance department of quality related issues
- Inform purchasing department on raw material availability
- Communicate to production all production scheduling matters
- Data Entry
- Design capacity plan horizons for each production line
- Maintain Material Master data on the product level in SAP
- Production Reporting
- Provide weekly production monitoring reports on the following:

- Produced vs. shipped volume
- Stock availability
- Open orders and production lead times
- Rework material inventory position and movement
- Production forecast (monthly)
- Recommendations on optimum raw material, production manning, and machine utilization
