Purpose of Position.
Provide consultation regarding safety and Hygiene education and training, support and guidance to facility personnel to maintain a work environment consistent with company policy and regulatory requirements.
Major responsibilities and tasks of the position.

Ensures that projects are completed on schedule and within budget:
Conducts briefings and participates in technical meetings for internal and external representatives concerning specific operations.

Develops proactive prevention systems for anticipating and responding to events and provides continued development on health and safety issues:
Evaluates proposed regulations to determine financial, industrial, public and environmental impact.
Interacts with federal, state, and local regulators to resolve compliance issues; establishes permit requirements and assists in Federal, state, and local regulatory audits

Provides leadership for the development and implementation of strategic objectives to manage and control occupational safety and health risks:
Provides value added services and is accountable for achieving compliance to the Corning safety policy and for the implementation of the Corning safety strategy improvement initiatives.
Analyzes processes and situations to create information and identify opportunities for positive change and improvement:
Manages, through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of activities of a section or department with responsibility for results in terms of costs, methods, and employees.
In some instances, this manager may be responsible for a functional area and may not have subordinate employees.

Respond to new environmental, safety and Hygiene information (i.e.
government regulations, industry standards or corporate guidance) or a change in the workplace that indicates a new or increased hazard or environmental concern may be present.
Minimum Knowledge and Skill Requirements.
Education.
:
Bachelor's degree in technical field (e.g.
Occupational Safety and Hygiene, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent related Importante empresa).

+7 years of Importante empresa in an S and E role at a manufacturing facility, Relevant Internship or working Importante empresa in a similar environment
