MTY:IT Site LeaderRole Purpose:Execute the plant strategy and achieve desired business results, primarily through appropriate allocation of IT resources and capabilities. Build and reinforce a positivework environment so that the business unit operates as "One IT" in support of Corning'sValues. Represent all aspects of IT at the site including IT performance of the sitealignment to divisional IT strategy.Key Responsibilities:Monitor unit compliance with IT and HR:Related legal and regulatory guidelines.Align IT business processes to global Corning business processes.Achieve or exceed the IT budgetary objectives in support of plant financial goals while maintaining appropriate levels of service delivery.Deliver projects on time, on scope, and on budget through project prioritization and effective resource management.Establish and maintain the appropriate levels of operational support against established metrics.Identify talent requirements, gaps, and requisite actions in conjunction with the division manager and HR.Recruit and develop key IT talent according to HR policies and procedures.Effectively supportthe IT shared service delivery model.Collaborate closely with the Division IT Manager to understand and implementprograms that drive standardization across the division while ensuring plant business needs are met.Interact with customer base to function as the voice of the plant to the IT organization to ensure the type and level of services provided fully support the achievement of plant business objectives.Utilize strong communication skills to interact with and educate plant customers in the development and implementation of required programs and processes.Establish a presence on the plant floor to maintain an ongoing pulse of the organization.Establish and drive plant IT project portfolio and manage its alignment to organizational objectives.Performance Metrics:Budget, including capital and expense.Project objectives, including project cost, scope, and schedule.Operational support metrics based on plant guidelines, including uptime, SLA, and customer satisfaction levels.Climate Survey Results compared to past performance and Corporate SafetyPerformance.Performance excellence results.Compliance with shared service model and division strategy.Competencies (knowledge, skills and behaviors):People:Comfort Around Higher Management:Can deal comfortably with more senior managers.:Can present to more senior managers without undue tension and nervousness.:Understands how senior managers think and work.:Can determine the best way to get things done with them by talking their language and responding to their needs.:Can craft approaches likely to be seen as appropriate and positive.Negotiating:Can negotiate skillfully in tough situations with both internal and external groups.:Can settle differences with minimum noi
