Let's make this big world into SmallWorld.The Network Engineer will ensure that all the communications of the organization are running efficiently by performing upgrading and maintenance tasks on hardware and software, resolving technical problems, overseeing their activity levels, ensuring security, and developing new system structures when necessary.The role holder will work closely with all the Platform team to manage all the infrastructure on premise and cloud to ensure their smooth functioning, keeping track of data entering or exiting the organization. Because of the nature of this job, the Network Engineer needs to be prepared to report to work round-the-clock, and have excellent communication (written and oral) skills.Reporting to the Head of Infrastructure platform, the Network team will define with Architecture team and deliver the overall vision, standards, practices and technical solutions that ensure Small World can work in an on premise and cloud solution.We are recruiting talented engineers that can help us in the short term to deliver our backlogs in the existing platform and in the near future, to help us migrating and modernizing our systems to a new architecture yet to be defined.Your Responsibilities- Ensure that the LAN/WAN is capable of providing required services by supporting the network infrastructure through the use of troubleshooting and problem resolution in a production environment.- Provide daily operational support for LAN/WAN networks including, but not limited to the following:- Firewalls- Routers and Switches- VPN Systems- AWS and Azure Networkingo Wi-Fi- Document all facets of network configuration and operation- Work with other members of our team to improve your skillset and to help us make our team even stronger- Perform pre-installation, equipment replacement and post installation support.- Perform regular backup and restore operations and to help implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures- Perform advanced troubleshooting to identify, resolve, and provide root cause analysis of network related issues
