You get the adventure and independence of working at a start-up without any of the financial risks because you are supported by a growing Fortune 1000 technology company.What will you do?Our Network Engineer II supports and fixes F5's IT network infrastructure including public cloud environments, data centers, local & wide area networks, switching, routing, firewalls, remote access monitoring & diagnostics and network communication issues.Primary ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Analysis: (40%)- Implement basic and advanced configurations of network gear including switches, routers, firewalls, & ADCs- Improve and implement infrastructure as code (IaC) and network automation- Plan, design, and implement network improvements and upgrades- Collaborate with senior engineers in product selection for replacement or new technology- Participate in peer review processes by reviewing procedures, changes, designs and standards- Work vendor technical support issues and communicate internally with impacted business units- Preserve service level agreements with other F5 employees and vendors- Assist in documentation and maintenance of related policies and proceduresProduction support: (60%)- Address operational issues as they arise (incident management)- Perform network troubleshooting - verifying, replicating, diagnosing, and raise issues as needed- Join multi-disciplinary teams to solve the most pressing operational issues in a timely manner- Participate in on-call rotation- Be the network authority on cross team projects- Proactively communication and coordination with participants, customers and team members- Responsible for upholding F5's Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.- Performs other related duties as assigned
