.An important telecommunications company is looking for your talent as:**Network Security Auditor****Education**:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, network engineering, or cybersecurity is generally preferred.**Experience**:3+ Years as Network Security Auditor, Cybersecurity Auditor, Cybersecurity Engineer, Network Engineer or similar.**Requirements**:**Technical Skills**:- Strong understanding of network security concepts: This includes knowledge of security protocols, encryption methods, firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), vulnerability assessment, security audit, communication, and incident response.- Expertise in network technologies: Familiarity with networking protocols, routing, switching, and network troubleshooting is crucial.- Experience with security tools and software: Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) tools, vulnerability scanners, and forensic software.- Scripting and automation skills: Ability to understand the scripts to automate security tasks and improve efficiency.- Understanding of operating systems: Knowledge of Windows, Linux, and other relevant operating systems is essential.**Soft Skills**:- Analytical and problem-solving skills: The ability to analyze security incidents, identify root causes, and provide effective recommendations is crucial.- Attention to detail: Meticulousness is essential for identifying and mitigating potential security risks.- Strong communication and teamwork skills: Collaboration with IT teams, management, and external vendors is vital.- Learning agility: Staying updated with the ever-evolving security landscape is crucial for long-term success.**Nice to Have**:Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNA Security, or Security+ can demonstrate expertise and enhance your profile.**Responsibilities**:- Schedule and perform regular security control reviews across all security domains physical and logical, log reviews and other ad hoc reviews at supplier sites and ensure they are meeting required standards based on Verizon Contracts / SOW /MSA / Industry best practices.- Accurately determine risk levels by monitoring and analyzing session logs across several environments.- Initiate daily/weekly/ monthly calls and meeting with business partner project managers to discuss findings and suggest security mitigations and strategies.- Assess risk and suggest effective controls to protect Verizon initiatives / requirements / projects (new infrastructure set-up, remote access for vendor partners, etc.).- Partner with the GCSO team / Verizon vendor manager / portfolios across Verizon / Supplier and other stakeholders as needed and provide effective support on security issues / operations to mitigate risks.- Facilitate external or 3rd party vendor site assessments and travel to 3rd party vendor sites away from the base location if needed
