.POSITION SUMMARY:NMDP Mexico saves lives through cell therapy and this role will help do that by providing coordination support for transplant centers in Mexico across the unrelated donor process continuum. This will be carried out through close collaboration with many internal stakeholders at NMDP in Mexico and in the U.S. as well as external stakeholders who support the transplant process including but not limited to the transplant center clinical team. This role is critical to expanding access for patients in Mexico.ACCOUNTABILITIES:Provides hybrid (onsite and virtual) operational support for transplant centers based in MexicoSupports the onboarding and continual operational support of network transplant centers in MexicoWorks with physicians and clinical teams at transplant center to facilitate end to end patient cases including facilitating patient typing, patient entry through search and workup to post-collectionProactively follows up on patient cases and provides updates to clinical teams at transplant centersEnsures the completion, accuracy, and timely submission of all case related documents including but not limited to registry specific forms, COFEPRIS permit documents, etc.Supports the financial process for transplants in Mexico in collaboration with transplant centers internal teamsAssists with managing quality issues at transplant centersSupports reporting to NMDP and CIBTMRCommit to periodic travel in Mexico, up to 6 trips annually, 2-3 day length eachOther duties as assignedCollaborates with internal NMDP teams to facilitate patient case coordinationWorks closely with Clinical Operations Partner, Patient Navigation, Case Management, Search Strategy, Finance, and others to facilitate patient cases and navigate barriers on behalf of transplant centersProactively provides updates to internal teams on the status of patient cases for all assigned transplant centersCommunicates operational needs of transplant centers to internal teams and leadership at NMDPOther duties as assignedREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:Knowledge of:English language fluencyMedical terminologyBasic customer service principlesData privacy and confidentiality principles for handling medical information.Proficient in using multiple software applications including Microsoft Office.Ability to:Manage ambiguity in supporting patient casesWork well in a cross-functional and cross-cultural teamCommunicate clearly and effectivelyWork in a fast-paced environmentUse critical thinking skills to solve complex problemsInfluence decision making without direct authorityEducation and/or Experience:Bachelor's Degree: healthcare administration, public health, nursing or a related disciplineExperience working in a hospital setting or closely with clinical teams3-5 years of experience in healthcare operational support, coordination, and/or related rolesDEI COMMITMENT:As part of our values, we are committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion at NMDP
