Description
Regularly reviews supply and demand gaps to meet customer expectations on Lead Time, capacity management for the plant, facilitates and drives S&OP activities on behalf of the plant and acts as the single point of contact for Global Supply Planning.
**Responsibilities**:
Capacity Planning:
- Complete plant Rough Cut Capacity Plan (RCCP), both Generic and Specific.
- Identify capacity constraints based on overall demand.
Make recommendations with timelines to plant to resolve Capacity Constraints and overcome allocation situations.
- Identify Excess Capacity Issues and highlight to product marketing for demand shaping.
- Monthly capacity management review for all true & false overload (identify action, owner & ECD)
- Chair monthly S&OP review for the plant with key decisions/actions published in advance.
Review critical KPI's at the plant.
- Acts as the center of excellent for planning activities in Singapore and influences the End to End supply chain for products moving into and out of the manufacturing plant.
Master Production Schedule (MPS):
- Create, review and load MPS in the plant based on agreed criteria.
- Authorize changes to the MPS.
- Report on the execution/adherence to the MPS for MTS parts.
- Maintain MPS inventory days to help support overall plant inventory target, resolve gaps between supply/demand and strive to achieve zero excess.
Plan for Every Part (PFEP):
- Develop effective Planning Strategies for every Finished Good and component such as MTS, ATO and MTO.
This should be based on business needs and the target lead time to customer.
- Backlog fulfillment for strategically planned products.
Lead Time:
- Maintain accurate Lead Times based on Product Segmentation (MTS, ATO, and MTO) as well as the current Plant Capacity Situation.
- Chair the monthly lead time review by product from multiple stakeholders (PM's, Sales, etc.)
- Be the voice of the customer on disparities between lead time given and published lead time and help drive the right focus with the plant
- Support in maximizing/optimizing component planning to reduce risk, improve Lead Time and propose Safety Stock when appropriate.
Reporting:
- Plan Attainment/Schedule Adherence to MPS
- Delivery performance to Customer Request Date and Molex Promise Date
- Lead Time Reporting: Lead Time Given, Promised, Taken, and Published by Product Segmentation.
- Slow and Excess Inventory: Overall and broken down by (MTS, ATO and MTO) Materials
What will you bring to the role
- Bachelor's Degree or Master Degree in Industrial Operations Engineering, Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain or Business Management.
- Strong communication skills, logical and analytical talent is essential.
- Must be a leader and able to influence a global team.
- Good written and spoken English
- Positive attitude, self-starter who is a team player.
- Ability to grasp new technologies
- Able to drive change and lead planning activities inside the plant.
- Strong skills in MS Office, advanced skills in Excel.
- Must have a practical knowledge of SAP Material Master/SD modules.
- Able to take complex supply chain concepts and simply them for general business users.
- Individual needs to be proactive and a self-starter
Preferred:
- Majored in Supply Chain Management or Industrial Operations Engineering.
APICS certification or Black belt is preferred.
- Multi-national company
- Electronics Industry
- Experience with Kinaxis Rapid Response (plus)
- Experience in capacity modeling (production routings, work centers, capacity hierarchies)
