Job DescriptionNPI ENGINEER PURPOSE: Reporting to the Stick Development Manager, the NPI Engineer provides product, process, and quality support to the Stick Business Unit for the full lifecycle of products.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Represent the on-site eyes for everything involving R&D, working closely with manufacturers to drive process improvements, quality improvements, and cost efficiencies recommendations.Collaborate with selected internal and external manufacturers to gain greater insights, evolve and improve our processes.Support in developing new manufacturing methods that drive greater efficiency and higher quality.Support in introducing, troubleshooting, and delivering industry-leading technologies.Work closely with internal and external manufacturers to facilitate new product development.Take the lead on quality assurance by providing stick developers with insights during development phases.Ensure implementation of SOP, training, and other quality assurance documents at the factory.Audit factories on a regular basis and raise appropriate flags when quality risks are apparent.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, material, or industrial) combined with 5+ years of manufacturing experience with an understanding of international supply chains.
Any other pertinent experience may be considered.Visa and Passport.Experience in Consumer Products Goods and/or sporting goods is an asset.Experience in Composite (thermoset and thermoplastic) is an asset.Experience in Quality Control is an asset.In-depth knowledge of product design, development, and manufacturing processes.Familiarity with the following software and operating systems: MS OFFICE, MS PROJECT.Bilingualism (English and Spanish).Global thinking and available to travel internationally 3 to 4 times a year.Location: Apodaca, N.L.
