Next Finance Sr. Specialist
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Specialist in Finance or Accounting with a strong focus on systems and data management. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for leveraging your expertise in financial or accounting with systems and data analysis to optimize financial processes, improve reporting accuracy, and drive informed business decisions. This role requires a deep understanding of finance or accounting principles, exceptional technical proficiency, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
**Responsibilities**:
- Financial Systems Management: Oversee the administration, maintenance, and enhancement of financial systems (e.g., ERP, financial planning and analysis tools) to ensure accurate and efficient financial operations. Troubleshoot data or system issues, implement improvements, and provide support as necessary.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize advanced data analytics techniques to extract meaningful insights from financial data. Generate comprehensive reports and dashboards that provide key stakeholders with accurate and timely financial information. Develop and implement standardized financial metrics and KPIs.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for streamlining financial processes, optimizing data workflows, and enhancing system functionalities. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement process improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.
- Financial Planning and Forecasting: Contribute to the financial planning and forecasting processes by providing data-driven insights and analysis. Collaborate with finance and accounting team members to develop accurate and realistic financial models, budgets, and forecasts.
- Compliance and Audit Support: Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal controls. Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation, reconciliations, and explanations of financial data and processes.
- Stay Updated on Industry Trends: Continuously enhance knowledge and skills in finance, accounting, systems, and data management. Stay informed about emerging technologies, best practices, and regulatory changes that impact financial systems and data analysis.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS in Finance) is a plus.
- Proven experience in finance or accounting roles, with a focus on systems and data management.
- In-depth knowledge of financial systems, such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), financial planning and analysis tools (e.g., Hyperion, Cognos), and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Strong proficiency in data analysis techniques and tools, including Excel, SQL, and statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python).
- Understand finance and accounting principles, financial reporting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS), and financial controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in financial analysis and reporting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
