OverviewNPD lead will be responsible for leading and providing solutions to high complexity new product development projects focused on new product introduction, designing new systems (refrigeration, controllers, doors, etc.) across different product lines, product reliability improvements projects, and new platform products based on business needs.ResponsibilitiesDevelop new product development/introduction projects based on the business needs (pipeline approved). Finding design solutions from concept to design, testing, and implementation.Apply the robust design and NPD Process to all NOD/NPI projects to assure design quality and reliability based on customer expectations and project goals.Provide strategic direction around customer specifications, standards, and market trends in commercial refrigeration as well as regulations related to Hussmann products to anticipate planned changes in design guides for engineering members.Develop a training plan as well as evaluation metrics for the Monterrey Engineering NPD team.Create and standardize design tools for engineering members, mentoring and guiding less experienced engineers.Responsible for managing projects requiring multiple components and subsystems integration across different product lines.Provide technical support to translate customer needs into design objectives as well as system requirements development (using tools such as QFD).QualificationsBachelor's degree; Master's degree preferred.7-10 years' experience in NPD.Verifiable experience leading complex projects related to Thermodynamics, Mechanical, and Electrical design systems, as well as the ability to engage in conversations in technical English.Ability to lead cross-functional teams.Solution-oriented.Proficient in English is required.#J-18808-Ljbffr
