Eaton's ESSG CPSD PDD Power Delivery Division division is currently seeking a NPD Quality Engineer.
**What you'll do**:
"Manage, develop, implement, monitor, maintain the quality strategy of NPD according with to ISO, Eaton Quality System (EQMS) and Prolaunch, provide guidance to NPD team for definition of critical characteristic and validation since first stages of new product development (pre-launch).
Ensure a Design Quality and process quality are delivered to the plants."
"1. Develop, review, manage, approve, control, and distribute the quality documentation of NPD. And ensure that are communicated to all stakeholders.
2.Responsible for the quality activities on new programs thru the uses of Pro-launch. Works closely with the project team and WPA to establish targets/requirements for project success, design/engineering score card
3.Participate on Supplier Assessment related to NPD and handle supplier quality topics with suppliers,
4.Develop plans and strategy for control the scrap of NPD and ensure that is reported correctly
5.Typically hands off quality responsibilities to plant quality at Gate 4, but also has the skills to cover quality requirements during Stage 5
6.Ensure that non-conforming products do not go to the next stage since raw material until Finish Good
7. Works with Engineering NPD and manage Quality topics of various products at the same time
8. Support SQE by release together PPAP (Evaluation of dimensional and test report, Control Plan, MSA, PFMEA, APQP)
9. Lead production, Engineering, Logistic, manufacturing, sourcing, and materials areas with the objective of solve NPD quality issues
10. Function as overall program interface with internal and external customers, and as main contact person cross-divisional and globally for quality
11. Provide quality updates including progress and problem/ high risk areas and updates to all key stakeholders
12.Provide the strategy for ""Defect-free launch strategy"" identifying defects during the product´s design and development process, providing a method to assess and report the products defect status during development starting in Gate 1
13. Provide pre-launch control plan, summary description of the systems used for minimizing process and product variation during pre-production and trial runs
14. Create a systematic ""Error Proofing approach"" for anticipating and detecting potential defects and preventing through devices that prevent defective
15. Support engineering to define ""Design scorecard"" that is the tool for predict the variability and performance level of the CTQ´s based on Quality function deployment
16. Support NPD team evaluating the system test plan that includes a definition of all the verification/validation testing that is to occur (Systems development, Systems Integration/Field and System Certification) and certify that a system meets its performance and quality assurance tests or qualification requirements stipulated in regulations

**Qualifications**:
Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering or similar
3-5 years as Quality Engineer and NPD (High recomended)
**Skills**:
Experience in the field of Electrical Utilities or electrical component manufacturing, Knowledge of various Manufacturing Processes (electronics, metal stamping & forming, plastics & rubber molding, machining, etc.), Experience working with and auditing suppliers, Experience with Quality Systems, such as APQP, PPAP and ISO 9001, Prolaunch.
