Locations are in Michigan, Texas, and Juarez Mexico.**Job Description** PRIMARY MISSION**- Manage the introduction of new products:- Bring new products into production until their serial life, in accordance with specifications and customer requirements.- Coordinate and implement technical improvements during the project phase.**LEVEL OF AUTONOMY**- The role requires determining solutions, optimizing methods and means, with validation from a third party.**AUTHORITIES**- Represent the client internally to ensure their needs are considered.- Direct necessary actions to achieve project objectives.**SUPERVISION AND COOPERATION**Hierarchical relationships:- Reports hierarchically to the Customer Journey & NPI Manager.Key functional relationships within the organization:- Methods- Purchasing- Quality- Production- Supply chain- Sales- Business Development- FinanceInteractions and contributions:- The role involves seeking consensus and compromise in a context of differing/divergent interests with significant stakes.External relationships:- Clients**ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES**- Clarify project objectives and define means in terms of deadlines, costs, and quality in collaboration with the client.- Gather input data from the client and sales department at the beginning and throughout the project.- Coordinate the multidisciplinary project team (Product/Process/Testing Methods, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Quality, Customer Service, Planning, etc.).- Define and monitor project schedules, milestones, dependencies, and critical paths.- Monitor project performance indicators.- Manage the project budget (resources, equipment, etc.) while considering the established estimate.- Ensure product profitability objectives are met.- Provide regular project progress reporting to the client, contributors, and stakeholders.- Identify deviations with the teams and define corrective action plans for any discrepancies.- Ensure execution of identified action plans.Close the project according to the Lacroix development cycle.**Qualifications**General knowledge:- Understand and comply with the company's Quality system procedures and instructions necessary for assigned tasks.- Cross-functional management.- Experience managing a variety of projects is a huge asset. Employers look for project managers who have worked with marketing teams, engineers, and other key NPI roleplayers. Knowledge of NPI, including working on new products in a non-management role, is an asset. A background in both project management and engineering is the best way to become an NPI Program Manager.Technical skills:- Know and implement the internal project development process.- Master project management tools.- Conduct meetings.- Understand Basic Lean Management**Education**:- A Bachelor's degree in a related field (Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, etc.)
