Hexagon A&P is seeking to hire a
**NPI Materials & Operations Specialist **to join our Supply Chain team in the Operations department.

Working effectively across multiple functions, you will develop a practical NPI plan that supports overall project schedule, implement the plan, while identifying and resolving critical schedule, material, and fabrication risks.
Timely communication regarding schedule, cost and quality is your expertise and you will collaborate with our multidisciplinary team of product managers, design engineers, project management, supply chain professionals, SQE & MPE teams, production staff, and external suppliers to prepare manufacturing to receive our new product.
Your customers are chief engineers, project managers and operations in a world leading Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) design facility.
This position is with Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division, a global technology leader, pioneering end-to-end solutions industry leaders rely on for assured positioning and autonomy on land, sea and air.

**The Location**: The position is based in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead cross-functional meetings, such as the weekly NPI meetings per project as representative of Operations team with the purpose of tracking progress, review timelines, establish deliverables, meeting minutes and following up on action items.
- Facilitates the flow of information and collaboration with Project management, engineering, and supply chain by following Hexagon A&P NPI processes
- Identifies and manages risks associated with meeting technical and operational targets.
- Provides guidance to identify supply chain risks and help remove roadblocks.
- Coordinates Supply Chain tactical purchasing activities with buyers in collaboration with Design Engineering, and Project management team to acquire material in a cost-effective and timely manner for development, prototype, and early production requirements, including risk purchases.
- Manages vendor material escalations, sourcing, and provides input to SQE and Supply Chain about new requirements that could trigger the search of new suppliers.
- Reports on performance metrics (KPI's), and helps coordinate, monitor, and maintain accuracy in our data management system (DSTS, SOWs, ECO's) and ERP system.
- Capable to read basic information on data sets, drawing specs, bills of materials.
- In coordination with SQE team and Supply Chain, supports RFQs to suppliers for new products, participates in the review of the quotations and triggers additional quoting exercises throughout the development stages of the project.
- In collaboration with Project manager and Supply Chain, develops and maintains an accurate NPI build plan (Proto and Pilot) updated weekly and communicates potential risks, and report on status and delays
- Oversee cost drivers and engineering communication on cost estimates to meet critical project targets
- Effectively communicate MPE Deliverable progress and work collaboratively with team to address risk
- Contributes to MPE Manufacturing Plan with information related to Supply Chain
- Coordinate PCBAs and product level Prototype and Pilot builds at contract manufacturers and on Novatel's shop floor providing a material "clear to build" status
- Maintain product forecast information and work effectively with Supply Chain Management (SCM) to ensure all necessary material is purchased to support planned product builds both at Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) and NovAtel
- Responsible for organizing and managing the transfer of a project from NPI to Sustaining (Production release) by assuring all steps are completed and released in PLM system for Production Gate release
- Continuously Improve related processes and practices
Qualifications:
**Must-Have**:
- Minimum 5 years' experience of procurement, planning, sourcing in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
- Strong analytical skills, business acumen and negotiating skills in dealing with supporting functions (Engineering, Supply Chain, Suppliers and Operations)
- Proven ability to work independently, self-motivated, and able to prioritize, multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Very organized with excellent written and oral communication skills and a keen attention to detail
- Computer skills (MS Office, MS Project, Excel)
- Effective and prompt problem solving abilities
