**What You Will Do In This Role**
You'll lead a Cross Functional Team (CFT) through the Molex Product Development Process (PDP).
Phases typically include product and process design, product and process development, validation, and launch.
You will be responsible for meeting or exceeding the Project Plan in terms of Scope, Economics, Quality and Timing.
Projects range from entirely New Development to Capacity Tooling to Continuous Improvement in the Automotive Industry.
**_Be the Team Leader_**
- Drive and focus the team on the execution of the Project Plan
- Meet or exceed requirements for Cost, Quality and Timing
- Work efficiently and effectively with team members and their functional managers
- Report barriers clearly and concisely to gain management action
- Facilitate win-win scenarios for overall project benefit
- Ensure that Molex Product Development Processes and procedures are followed
**_ _**_Be the Focal Point during the Product Development Process_**
- Communicate the Voice of the Customer to the organization
- Instill confidence in Molex and develop a positive relationship with customers
- Be responsive to requests for information and deliverables
- Manage Molex and Customer needs and expectations
**_Maintain Alignment_**
- Leverage Project Management methodologies such as Action Item Lists, Team meetings, Change Control, Timelines, and more to manage
- Conduct professional, informative and Phase Reviews
- _**_Perform Risk Management_**
- Work with the CFT to identify risks to plan execution and identify appropriate Mitigation or Contingency Plans
- Get management support for proactive activities to meet the Project Plan
**_ Achieve Financial Performance_**
- Meet or improve upon the investment and performance goals set forth in the Project Plan for capital expenditure (PARs), Cost Justification performance and Expense budget
**_ Additional Duties_**
- Work with the CFT to ensure that suppliers meet Molex's expectation for timing, cost and quality
- Understand, support and contribute to current Molex Total Quality Management (TQM), Six Sigma, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH&S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management
- Travel to Customer and/or other Molex sites as needed
**What You Will Bring**
- Five or more years' experience in Project Management and/or Product Development
- Proven team leadership skills to anticipate, plan, prioritize and self-monitor workload
- Receptiveness to the customer's needs and a sense of urgency
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
**What Puts You Ahead**
- PMP (Project Management Professional) Certification from PMI or Equivalent
- Experience working with global teams (Europe, Asia, Americas)
- Experience working with Automotive Companies
- Connector industry experience Working directly with external customers
- A Bachelor's Degree in Business or Engineering
- Experience with Polarion and/or Team Center
