**Career Area**:Human Resources**:JOB PURPOSE:To assist in the delivery of various occupational health services and functions within a facility or location.JOB DUTIES:- Incumbents typically have previous general health care or occupational health experience and have progressed through various health care positions. Key job functions could include some or all of the following:- Deliver basic, limited nursing services, within the limitations of training and licensure, related to employee illness and injury- Provide basic first aid and life support services during medical emergencies, typically under the close supervision of advanced medical staff- Responsible for general daily administration of a basic Occupational Medical station -Conduct new employee orientation presentations- Communicate with facility Human Resources and EH&S on employee health and safety issues- Support OHN III Disability Case Management activities- Support medical staff and outside entities in determining the work-relatedness of injuries, complying with governmental regulations, and conducting investigations -Conduct DOT drug testing and supports medical staff conducting fit for duty evaluation -Utilize the HR data system (PeopleSoft) to track and report on metrics and measurements for corporate Medical functions- Record keeping and relevant ongoing learning activities Typical internal customers include the employees at all levels in one or more facilities and/or Divisions. T**Required Qualifications**:- Must be licensed as a Practical Nurse or International equivalent. In addition to outstanding clinical skills and judgment, the incumbent must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with an acute focus on customer service.- The ability to maintain confidentiality is essential.- Must have basic computer skills including Microsoft Word and Excel.- Typically require a college or university degree or equivalent experience. Typically require some knowledge of various areas of occupational health including injury and illness intervention, applicable regulations, company policies and procedures. In addition to the desired education, 1-2 years of general or occupational nursing experience are typically required.
