Job DescriptionPrimary Function of PositionThe primary function of an occupational nurse is to take care of the health of employees in their workplace, provide medical care, support and education to employees, while implementing various strategies to prevent work-related injuries and illnesses.Essential Job DutiesResponsible for maintaining, updating, conserving, storing, and disposing of medicine and first aid kits according to country regulations.Purchase medical supplies and medicines according to company needs.Update along with physician/health care provider the approved medicine list.Lead and coordinate first aid emergency brigades, providing and managing training.Elaborate and execute health prevention programs.Perform medical examinations initially and periodically on employees according to the health and prevention program.Follow up and control cases that are referred for attention to the IMSS, answering forms of probable work risk, work-related illness, and work-related relapse.Capture and track general disabilities, work-related disabilities, or commuting accidents.Keep track of statistics on accidents and/or occupational diseases as well as non-work-related diseases.Support initial work-related claims accidents.Capture initial statements of referred incidents by employees.Promote a culture of health in the organization through communication programs.Manage and plan protocols and procedures to ensure a healthy environment.Inform employees about possible threats to their well-being, developing campaigns such as drugs, alcoholism, and smoking.Observe and correct unhealthy habits in the work environment.Develop organizational systems to improve physical and mental health.Monitor the health of workers with an appropriate record in a clinical-work history.Assist physician/doctor with medical treatment follow-up.Schedule appointments for employees with physicians/doctors.Review work-related incidents/accidents with EH&S specialists.Coordinate health campaigns with health institutions.#J-18808-Ljbffr
