Description: Analyst Oliver Wyman is currently seeking a P&C Actuarial Analyst to support our growing Property & Casualty Actuarial Consulting Practice.
This position requires the candidate to work closely with our consultants to independently analyze complex problems and develop workable solutions for our clients, which include large corporations, captive insurance companies, state regulators, and P&C insurance companies.
The candidate will eventually have significant interaction and visibility with Oliver Wyman's exciting and diverse client portfolios.Primary responsibilities include:Assist in a wide range of actuarial projects.
Focus will be on loss reserving but additional projects include pricing/ratemaking, predictive modeling, economic capital modeling, and warranty and loyalty rewards programs.Compile and verify client dataSetup spreadsheet analysis, templates, and exhibitsPrepare production exhibits and written reports to present findingsAttend client meetings as requiredAssist in the preparation of proposals and presentations for prospectsAttend marketing/sales presentations as requiredSkills and AttributesBA/BS degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Finance, or related field2+ actuarial exams is preferred, and commitment to pursuing CAS actuarial credentialsStrong organizational skills with an ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasksExcellent interpersonal skills; strong oral and written communications skillsAbility to manage in a fast-paced environmentAbility to undertake instructions for project tasks and produce quality deliverables in a timely fashionSelf-starter, strong initiative, confidence, and ability to work with little guidance, while still being a collaborative teammateAny property & casualty experience and/or consulting experience is a plusStrong command of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, etc.R, SAS, SQL, or VBA experience a plus
