Tasks
Evaluation of usage, changes and distribution of Free & Opens Source Software (FOSS) in order to determinate if SW is in compliance rules of Continental.
**Responsibilities include**:
- Give support to domains on open questions and follow the technical discussions between Domains and Open, Source, Compliance, Audit & Review.
- Must be able to champion and drive issues to a conclusion involving coordination with the product/development team.
- Report to OSRM leader: status, issues, risks
- Analyse some defects and "coach" SW teams for the correction
- Manage FOSS defects: ensure the corrections match the request and successfully integrated
- Following up of code changes.
- Participate to stand-up meeting
- Manage issues from Open-Source Compliance Team
**Qualifications**:
**Necessary requirements**:
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Electronics or related field.
- Unix, GNU/Linux and Windows knowledge.
- Proficient in at least one scripting language (Bash, Python).
- Development skills: Able to perform Code Review
- Strong documentation skills
- Fluent English.
**Additional requirements**:
- Applicant must also demonstrate good communication, team working and presentation skills.
- Basic understanding of Open Source Licenses
- Understanding of Open Source Software Development
- Version Control and Configuration Management Software (git, JIRA)
- Capacity to organize and lead technical meetings
- Basic knowledge in at least one scripting language (Perl, Python, VBA, PowerShell)
