**Operations Equipment & Tools AM**

**Objective of the position**
- Manage several small related organizational units with generally varied functions
- Ensure the correct and smooth development, production and repairing of injection tools for all DRX segments, from the offer stage to serial production, based on customer requirements and in regards of cost, quality and deadline, within the frame of the TI6 targets.
- Further development of the department Tool Shop AM, considering the economic situation and in close cooperation with the Head of Operation TI6
**Principal activities**
- Support the strategic planning of the unit/division by breaking down or developing the strategic planning for the department within a short or medium-range time frame
- Plan and administer the budget in his/her area of responsibility, in cooperation with the supervisor, and make sure there is compliance with it
- Develop and implement personnel planning in his/her area of responsibility, in cooperation with the supervisor; also make sure qualified personnel are hired
- Provide technical and disciplinary leadership to associates that report to him/her; make personnel decisions in cooperation with the HR department and the supervisor
- Develop department-specific goals, break down and prioritize the department goals, follow up on goals and evaluate goal achievement
- Develop concepts and implement measures for improvement beyond the supported organizational units in order to optimize the processes for developing products and/or equipment
- Assure compliance with and implementation of guidelines relevant for developing products, equipment and/or services (e.g.
company goals, divisional goals, quality requirements, customer wishes, legal guidelines, etc.)
Injection tools
- Ensuring a efficient and effective design and production/modification of injection tools within the department, based on the customer requirements, respectively of the project
- or product management.
- Ensuring the swift and technically correct repairing of the injection tools from the serial production.
Budget and planning
- Create and harmonize the budget and the investment plan of the department, based on the operational and strategic targets.
Convey, agree and follow the targets and the agreed measures in the department, thus securing the compliance with the budget and continuously optimizing the cost structure.
Secure the workload in the department.
- Responsible for respecting the calculated price of the tools/tool changes that are done in the TI64 organization
Cost calculation
- Support the correct calculation of the equipment, in regards of the capacity and resource plan, external suppliers, needed materials, based on technical and quality requirements of the customer, in cooperation with the corresponding departments, each project responsible (e.g.
FPL-P) and eventually sales organization.
External service provider
- Decide the cooperation with external service providers based on the internal resource plan and the needed products/technologies.
Pick the service supplier in cooperation with the Disposition and Purchasing departments.
Evaluate the offers, check the quality of the services and the costs during the projects.
Ensure the technical supervision and development of the external service suppliers.
Documentation
- Ensure the creation and storing of the needed documentation (e.g.
design model, electrical and hydraulic plans), respecting the local requirements.
Transfer of the documents to the client during the tool reception process.
Quality
- Ensure the implementation of all relevant audit requirements as well the internal and external quality norms and the realization of corrective measures in case of deviations.
Safety
- Ensure the compliance with and the implementation of the legal safety regulations (especially work and environment protection) and of the central DRX regulations.
Initiate regular trainings of the employees in coordination with the local health and safety responsible.
Leading the employees
- Lead, develop and motivate the employees according to the DRX general principles and respecting the special requirements of the international interfaces and the intercultural differences.
Take personnel measures in cooperation with the HR department and the supervisors.
