Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we're looking to add a Operations Manager located in Tijuana, Mexico.
Reporting to the Sr. Director, Operations, the Operations Manager is responsible for effectively managing all strategic operational processes and resources, and leading an organization in order to achieve and maintain operational excellence.
What a typical day looks like:
- Manage appropriate staffing and inventory levels.
- Oversee the assembly operations to meet corporate KOI.
- Supervise production staff on work method and quality checkpoints.
- Coordinate with other departments and other Flex sites to drive for excellence.
- Coordinate efforts of operations team by establishing procurement, production and engineering services policies and practices.
- Ensure ISO and safety standards are adhered to.
- Report to leadership team in weekly operations reviews.
- Coach and mentor Operations leadership.
- Coordinates operational activities with other functional groups such as planning and distribution.
- Controls capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor.
- Confers with executive management, production, and marketing staff to determine manufacturing feasibility, cost effectiveness, and customer demand for new and existing products.
- Forecasts operating costs of organization and directs preparation of budget requests.
- Review and establishes material, equipment, and manpower resource requirements.
- Manages operations schedules based on product introduction, equipment efficiency, and materials supply in order to meet customer requirements.
- Plans and administers procedures and budgets.
- Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated
The experience we're looking to add to our team:
- BA/BS or equivalent work experience.
- Advanced English
- Experience in the Manufacturing Industry, medical devices is a plus.
- High volume production environment experience
- Experience in EMS manufacturing industry. Understand requirements of lean manufacturing
- Right experience in leading manufacturing activities likes meeting OTD, cost reduction, productivity gains. In short Expertise in gear-up operations competitiveness.
- May have P&L responsibility for the function.
- Develops plans for structuring and implementing major initiatives.
- Has awareness of the functional impact upon work processes and other functions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
