Operations Manager, Worldwide OperationsDo you pioneer? If so, the Amazon team is looking for an experienced leader with a strong record of achieving results. The person will be responsible for creating and executing a worldwide supply chain by working closely with our retail and operations partners across the globe in order to effectively manage volume flows and fullness for our fulfillment centers and delivery stations. The role requires heavy index on dive deep, bias for action, and ownership.
As an Operations Manager, you will have the opportunity to lead an inbound operation, outbound operation, or a functional process on a specified shift or across multiple shifts within an Amazon Fulfillment Center. You will be responsible for leading, developing and engaging a team of exceptional talent that makes innovation possible. One of your main focuses will be motivating, mentoring and coaching your team to become the best leaders they can be.
Key job responsibilitiesSupport all safety programs and compliance to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and managersLead and develop a team of 3-7 Area Managers (front-line supervisors) and 100-300 hourly associates by embodying Amazon's Leadership PrinciplesAct as the primary information source for the team, maintaining compliance and consistency and taking corrective action when neededMentor, train and develop teammates for career progression, performance improvement and recognition purposesCreate, communicate and maintain quality control policies and standard work procedures to Area Managers and associatesProactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives using Lean tools to delight customersBuild and deliver productivity plans by reviewing work forecasts, determining productivity requirements and partnering with other Operations Managers to balance laborEvaluate performance objectives and metrics to determine inbound or outbound productivity requirements to achieve customer time, accuracy, and quality expectationsPartner with other managers to share best practices across shifts and the networkBASIC QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon (blue badge/FTE) experience3+ years of employee and performance management experienceWork a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays2 years of Strong Operations Management Proficient in Data Analysis5+ years Operations Management experience in manufacturing, production, distribution environment or related industrySupervisory responsibility for a minimum of 100 hourly employeesExcel skills required.English ProficientPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS3+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experienceMBAPosted: November 29, 2024 (Updated about 14 hours ago)
