.Experience in the renewal process of operational, environmental and safety permits (federal, state, and local) in manufacturing, production, engineering or service operations.- Knowledge of Mexican health and safety regulations.- Experience interacting with various authorities such as STPS, Civil Protection (state and local), Fire Departments, etc.- Bachelor's degree or equivalent.- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills.- Intermediate to advanced English (technical, verbal and written).The WHS Permits Coordinator will be responsible for managing and executing the permits' renewal process for Fulfillment Centers, Sort Centers, and Delivery Stations sites in Mexico, such as operational license, civil protection permit, and other related permits.
They will be the liaison between the consultants and the internal stakeholders, to provide the information and paperwork required, as well as follows up on the overall permits' renewal process, thus obtaining the permits in a timely fashion.The WHS Permits Coordinator must demonstrate the ability to earn trust with the Construction, Launch, Environment, HR, Procurement, and Operations teams.
Furthermore, they are both detail and results-oriented, tenacious, and possess a bias for action, as well as being an effective communicator for sending clear and concise messages, both verbally and in writing.
They must have the ability to influence their peers, superiors, and people outside their organization to achieve results.They will be required to possess multitasking, problem-solving, attention to detail, and organization skills.Key job responsibilities- Manage and execute the permit renewal process in accordance with applicable regulations (federal, state, and local).- Coordinate consultants involved in the permit renewal process.- Serve as a liaison between consultants and various internal stakeholders to collect and provide required information, reviewing and validating it in advance to ensure it meets regulatory requirements.- Develop long-term collaborative relationships with stakeholders involved in the process to ensure that risks associated with permit renewals are identified and communicated early.- Maintain ongoing communication with stakeholders to update permits when facility or process changes are made.- Support facilities during inspection visits (STPS, Civil Protection, etc.).
Coordinate and track action plans to correct findings.- Conduct regular site inspection visits to identify non-compliance issues related to permits and propose corrective actions.- Develop a positive working relationship with local authorities during the permit renewal process, as required.- Provide status reports on permit renewal processes.- Maintain communication with operations managers and general managers.- Record and manage permits, licenses, and critical documents using dedicated software or a cloud-based platform.- Bachelor's degree in safety, environment, engineering, or related field
