Job Summary SMT and Through-Hole (TH) Hand Assembly Operators are responsible for assembling and inspecting Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs), including surface-mount (SMT) and through-hole components. This role involves manually placing and soldering components, following production schedules, and performing final inspections to ensure high-quality standards are met. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Follow standard work instructions to assemble electronic components on PCBAs using SMT and TH technologies Manually place components on circuit boards, ensuring proper alignment and high-quality solder joints. Perform final inspections of assembled PCBAs, identifying defects or discrepancies to ensure compliance with quality standards. Operate and inspect SMT and TH tools, equipment, and basic hand tools (e.G., soldering irons, tweezers) necessary for assembly and inspection. Maintain accuracy and attention to detail when working with small electronic components. Follow production schedules, meet output targets, and report any defects or concerns to the supervisor. Keep workstations clean and organized, adhering to 5S methodology. Collaborate with team members to resolve assembly or quality issues and continuously improve work processes. Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Good attention to detail and skill in working with SMT and TH components by hand Ability to operate and inspect basic hand tools used in electronic assembly. Ability to lift or carry up to 50 lbs and work in standing, walking, or bending positions for extended periods. Basic computer skills for entering inspection and production data. Basic math skills and familiarity with measurement tools (calipers, rulers, etc.). Knowledge of industry standards for PCB assembly and quality control is a plus.
