.Eaton's IS VEH VGNA division is currently seeking a OPEX Manager. This position is based at our Indianapolis, IN distribution center. Relocation assistance is provided for this opportunity.The OPEX Manager will drive continuous improvement and Eaton Lean system throughout the Distribution Center (DC), which will lead to improvements in employee safety, quality, delivery performance, material flow, costs, and process efficiencies. This position will manage all NPI (new product introductions) and automated warehouse solutions into the location to ensure site readiness and flawless launch. This role is a key member of the site staff and ensures a site culture of Continuous Improvement and Lean that is then leveraged to drive change. Includes fulfilling leadership duties and providing input for DC strategy and direction.The expected annual salary range for this role is $91,500.03 - $134,200.04 a year. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you'll do:Act as a change agent within the DC to identify, lead, support and implement lean distribution methodologies, incorporating automation where applicable.Deploy and execute Eaton's Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) within the Distribution Center.Apply principals and initiatives of the Eaton Business System (EBS) to the DC processes for continuous improvement.Develop and utilize hands-on approach to implement effective continuous improvement (CI) training plans that develop and sustain a CI culture, ensuring a constant safety focus.Leverage EBS Pull, CIF and Structured Problem Solving as the foundation for deployment & execution.Drive CIF (Continuous Improvement Framework) by training, coaching, and leading by example by leveraging the 8 Building Blocks of CIF: Process Standardization, Visual Controls, Leader Standard Work, Daily Accountability, Process Checks, Manning Strategy, Gemba Walks, and CI for Everyone.Utilize Lean and Six Sigma tools to eliminate waste driving customer satisfaction, cost reduction and lead game changing kaizen events/RIEs.Conduct Eaton Lean System (ELS) assessments and identify performance gaps. Work through the leadership team to prioritize improvement activities and close gaps.Provide mentorship development to operational excellence/CI talent.Work through the leadership team to lead the development and implementation of the site Lean and Six Sigma strategy, actions, and cross-functional activities including Rapid Improvement Events (RIEs).Work with Regional/Divisional CI Manager to ensure alignment of plant CI activities to broader functional strategy and vision.Represent the site as project lead for all new product introductions, attending divisional meetings, coordinating site readiness, communicating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective product/process integration
